A simple life, can also be a monotonous life. Earning was the motive to rise higher in life. I kept
ticking faster than the clock for 20 long years. The pace & passion kept me going however when the
meanings changed, it also changed the motives to lead my life. I had many questions starting from
Gender stereotypes to corporate strategies. My questions compelled me to be a seeker, a seeker of life
& self in the context of surroundings that I breed in. Not wanting to be a rebel or a feminist in its
literal sense, but yes a deep urge to make an impact.
As I encountered more such uncomfortable situations - as we all do - I wondered what should I be doing different? What can be scientific yet playful, stern yet approachable, interactive & yet counterintuitive.
I learned & grew with my own encounters & experiences. Most of us go through that , but few never succumb to it. A progressive thinking, enabling safe spaces to promote difficult conversations was my interest rather than a facilitation based on PPTs & Google. When we learn through experience it becomes a part of our being. My eureka moment was when I found the HOW of doing that …through Applied Theatre an Umbrella term which has many modalities to operate with.
Today in my classes there are smiles and tears, no decorum is set yet each one is confidential & respectful of the rest in the class. It’s like adults being playful & curious as children. How does a balloon look like when not blown, to me humans who are unable to express due to internal or external reasons look similar. A flower is at its best when fully blossomed, likewise humans who express are alive enough to live upto their potential.
Through my facilitation, I thrive to unleash the path to explore that potential for and of the participants, & get an access to one’s true nature & live in possibilities. I attempt to clarify values and review behaviours, practicing new spontaneous and creative attitudes to create an Authentic individual & Flourishing organisation & community at large.
